Do You Need A Personal Trainer? - Gunsmith Fitness

Do You Need A Personal Trainer?

Most of us get to a point in life where we feel an urge to be better whether that’s in our careers or in our personal lives. Thinking up ways on how to do so can be overwhelming – what do you do? Where do you even start?

In physical fitness, we may arm ourselves with our own research on what the best diets are and what the best exercises are, but there is no substitute to having someone with a lot of experience guide you to the best possible results.

So if you’re here wondering if you should take the plunge and get professional help, here are a few things to consider.

Objective Feedback

I can’t stress how being given objective feedback is so important. When we’re working out on our own and we see progress, that’s great! But how do we know we can’t do better? We could be doing exercises that would give us the same results as another exercise for half the time spent – we have no benchmark for it. What works for one person may not necessarily work for you, after all.

A personal trainer would be able to give you objective feedback. They’d be better able to see your current progress, gauge what’s working and what isn’t, and help you in adjusting your diet and exercise regimen accordingly.

Accessibility

You may be concerned about coordinating schedules and gym locations with a personal trainer, but you don’t have to worry about that. If you don’t have a regular gym yet and you’re not sure where to get trainer recommendations, you can always go with an online coach.

With online training, you don’t have to worry about when you train or where you train. Companies like T-12 also have a lot of bodyweight training programs so you don’t even have to leave your home at all to get fit. They provide custom exercise videos and instructions, and a coach is just a few taps away on your phone. Everything is trackable – they’ll check in with you to make sure you’re meeting your goals.

You do away with any logistical issue so you can focus on what matters – getting fit.

Accountability

I think most people get it when we say people perform better when someone’s watching them. While the most important person you have to answer to is yourself, it sure helps when somebody else is watching and you have that added motivation to meet your goals – fitter future you will thank you!

Affordability

Of course, this is really important and probably one of the biggest factors preventing more people from getting professional fitness help. Personal trainers, especially for people wanting to train multiple times a week, can be expensive.

But it doesn’t have to be that way – online trainers cost significantly less than one-on-one training at the gym. That also means you can be flexible on gym costs, or even train right at home. Transform Twelve are offering a special introductory rate for both their 1 month and 3 month packages. These include a personalised training plan and more importantly a personalised diet plan, we all know the food aspect of getting in shape can be the most difficult, well, these guys fix all that for you. Should you have any questions along the way the guys have priority support and a dedicated members group. Now that's service...

So, do you need a personal trainer?

Well, depends on what you’re looking to get out of your journey to fitness – if you’re looking to just get a little bit toned, lose a little weight, or gain a little weight and you’re not too concerned about when you achieve it – then maybe not but it can certainly take alot of the weight off your shoulders, pardon the pun!

But if you want optimum results? Whether it’s an online coach or one right at the gym, it’s an easy yes.
